Join us for a day of action across Canada on February 12 as the health community calls on the federal government to stop the denial of healthcare on the basis of immigration status.

The UN Human Rights Committee (UNHRC) recently issued a landmark decision condemning Canada for denying access to essential health care on the basis of immigration status based on the case of Nell Toussaint. Nell is one of an estimated half million people in Ontario alone who are denied access to health coverage and care on the basis of their immigration status, putting their health at risk.

Tweet to Matt DeCourcey, Fredericton MP/Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Prime Minister Trudeau, Health Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor, and Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen calling for federal government to act now.
