In late October 2010, members of the No Stealth Fighters Campaign and Ottawa’s Raging Grannies protested against Canada’s purchase of F-35 stealth fighters in Ottawa. The protest was held at the Westin Conference where the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada was gathering in their Annual General Meeting. Lockheed Martin’s Tom Burbage was scheduled to speak about the F-35 stealth fighters.
The No Stealth Fighters Campaign is an initiative of Ceasefire.ca to stop the planned purchase of 65 F-35 stealth fighter jets by the Canadian government for a total cost of over $16 billion.
