commonfrontdec10-10On December 10th, International Human Rights Day, members of the Common Front for Social Justice offered free fricot (chicken stew) to anyone hungry. The group highlighted the fact that the right to food is found in Article 25 of the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights.

“We chose to do this activity today to remind the public that over 100,000 New Brunswickers are living below the Low Income Cut-off and that many of them cannot afford an adequate diet even if food is a basic human right” said Krista Davis, member of the provincial council of the Common Front for Social Justice.
