Beginner Farmer Symposium & Mixer

ACORN invites you to join us for our 2nd Beginner Farmer Symposium & Mixer, on August 19th, 2013!

This event will celebrate the next generation of organic farmers featuring diverse and inspirational workshops and discussions. Plus many other activities as well, including Yoga for Farmers, Small-Tools Show & Tell, Seed Swap, Beginner Farmer Video/Photo booth and more! Once again there will be a dynamic trade show composed of certification bodies, seed companies, extension service and various businesses available to organic producers. Don’t miss this prime opportunity to connect with other farmers and farming-dreamers and support the future sustainability of a local organic food supply. After such an amazing success last year with over 150 in attendance, we look forward to greeting familiar faces as well as welcoming many new!

Time: 8:30-5:30 pm

Location: Tweedie Hall, Wallace McCain Student Centre, Mount Allison University, 62 York St., Sackville, NB

Cost: $40/$45 with mixer (General Admission)

$30/$35 with mixer (Student, Apprentice or ACORN Member)

Following the Symposium, join us for the Beginner Farmer Mixer from 6-9 pm! Wrap up this busy day with this wonderful evening social featuring delicious local organic food, drinks and live music!

Time: 6-9 pm

Location: Hammond House National Historic Site, 82 York St., Sackville, NB

Cost: $15 (mixer only)
