David Bush and Valerie Lannon on the Green New Deal and the socialist case against the carbon tax [video]

On November 20, David Bush made a socialist case against the carbon tax and was followed by Valerie Lannon’s thoughts on how we can win a Green New Deal.

David Bush is a Ph.D. student at York University, a labour organizer active with the Fight for $15, contributor to the Spring Magazine, and editor at Rankandfile.ca.

Valerie Lannon is one of the co-founders of the Spring Socialist Network. She supports climate justice and indigenous rights and is the co-author of Indigenous Sovereignty & Socialism.

This lecture was organized by St. Thomas University’s Environmental Praxis course and supported by the NB Media Co-op and RAVEN Rural Action & Voices for the Environment, a research project based at the University of New Brunswick.
