El Jones is a community activist, a poet, and an educator who lives in African Nova Scotia. El is the author of Abolitionist Intimacies (Fernwood Publishing).

The Madhu Verma Migrant Justice Centre, the Atlantic Abolition Coalition, the Coalition Against Prison Expansion (CAPE) NB and Cape Breton University’s Global Social Justice Project collaborated with ARSN for this first Charla.
