DESCRIPTION:\n\nCelebrated Indigenous filmmaker, Alanis Obomsawin, will return to STU on January 30th to present her most recent film, Jordan River Anderson, the Messenger (2019), as part of our inaugural Indigenous Film Festival, organized by the Senate Committee on Reconciliation.\n\nThe film tells the story of how the life of Jordan River Anderson initiated a battle for the rights of Indigenous children to receive the same standard of social, health, and educational services as the rest of the Canadian population.\n\n\nThe screening will be held in the Kinsella Auditorium at 7:00pm.
