We love our hospital rally.\nHosted by Kellie Mattatall\nThursday, February 13, 2020 at 5 PM – 6:30 PM\nSackville Town Hall, Sackville, NB\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn February 11th, New Brunswick’s Horizon Health Network announced the following changes to 4 areas of service at the Sackville Memorial Hospital:\n\n\nThe Emergency Department will operate 16 hours a day, 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, with the last patient being accepted before 10 p.m.;\nInpatient units will be transitioned to a unit to care for patients waiting for alternative care, such as community care or nursing homes;\nThe surgical program will close. Surgical volumes will be incorporated into the operating rooms and ambulatory clinics at The Moncton Hospital. Specifics of this plan will be developed over the next six (6) months; and\nSome ambulatory care services may change, ensuring we have the right services in your community and throughout New Brunswick.\n\nThese changes will take effect on March 11th, 2020\nWe need to keep pressure applied and ensure full restoration of our emergency services!\nMeet and rally at Town Hall at 5 pm !\nWe’ll have some Valentine hearts on hand that everyone can sign, to send messages about how much we ❤️ our 24/7 Emergency department. (or bring your own!!)\nWe’ll get these out to our Premier, Minister of Health and Horizon CEO just in time for Valentine’s day!\nAND the promised official provincial government petition will be ready for everyone to sign, or pick up to get it out to the community. This petition will be presented to NB Legislature when it is back in session in March, so we have a short window to get as many signature on it as we can!\nLet’s show the our community love ❤️ and make some noise!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
