DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPhotovoice – les femmes du nord/women of northern NB\n\nHosted by RAVEN Rural Action & Voices for the Environment\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMonday, June 15, 2020 at 7 PM – 8:30 PM\nOnline Event\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAppel aux femmes du nord : Partagez vos histoires à travers des photos cet été\nCalling women of northern New Brunswick: Share your stories through photographs this summer – English below.\nCet été, RAVEN (Rural Action and Voices for the Environment) et Projets Aulnes invitent les femmes dans le nord du Nouveau-Brunswick, du Restigouche à la Péninsule acadienne, de Tide Head à Lameque, à se joindre à nous pour le projet Photovoice, qui consiste à raconter des histoires à l’aide de photos.\nNotre projet collectif donnera aux femmes de la côte nord la chance de partager des histoires sur leur vie et leur communauté, y compris ce qu’elles chérissent et désirent.\nPour le projet, les femmes participantes prendront des photos en utilisant un téléphone ou un appareil photo que nous leur prêterons, et raconteront des histoires sur les photos à d’autres femmes d’une manière qui leur convienne. Chacune choisira les photos qu’elle souhaite partager plus largement, dans une exposition ou publiées en ligne. Les objectifs pourraient être différents, par exemple éduquer les autres ou aider à convaincre les dirigeants ou les responsables de la communauté de changer quelque chose dans la communauté. Photovoice présente de nombreux avantages, notamment celui de fournir un espace de réflexion sur nos expériences et sur les circonstances qui façonnent notre vie avec les autres, ainsi qu’une occasion de développer de nouvelles amitiés, des liens sociaux et des solidarités dans toute la région.\nPendant cet été de distanciation et d’isolement social, retrouvons d’anciennes amies et de nouvelles amies à travers la côte nord dans un espace de rassemblement en ligne pour partager des photos sur nos vies.\nVous pourriez prendre de nouvelles photos et/ou trouver d’anciennes photos qui transmettent l’histoire que vous voulez raconter sur votre communauté. Nous pourrions nous rencontrer tous les mois et, à la fin de l’été, avoir une collection visuelle et puissante qui peut être présentée dans la communauté et au-delà sur ce que vous, les femmes de la rive nord, voulez partager.\nLes participantes sont invitées à s’exprimer dans la langue de leur choix, le français ou l’anglais.\nLes femmes âgées de 18 ans et plus sont invitées à participer.\nVous êtes intéressées? Everyone will choose the photos they would like to share more widely, in an exhibition or published online. The purposes could be different, for example educating others or helping to convince community leaders or officials to change something in the community. Photovoice has many benefits, including providing a space to reflect on our experiences and the circumstances that shape our lives with others, and an opportunity to build new friendships, social bonds and solidarities across the region.\nDuring this summer of social distancing and isolation, let’s get together with old friends and meet new friends across the north shore in an online gathering space to share photographs about our lives.\nYou could take new photographs and/or find old photographs that convey the story you want to tell about your community. We could meet monthly and, by the end of the summer, have a visual and powerful collection that can be showcased in the community and beyond about what you, the women of the north shore, want to share.\nParticipants are invited to speak in the language they prefer, French or English.\nWomen, ages 18 years old and up, are invited to participate.\nInterested?
