Miles Howe on Snake Oil and Project SITKA: The story of the ex-industry consultant with a mail-order PhD behind the RCMP’s profiling matrix

Author, journalist and activist Miles Howe will talk about the policing of Indigenous rights activists in Canada and the lasting legacy of the 2013 anti-fracking movement in New Brunswick.

Miles Howe is the author of Debriefing Elsipogtog: The Anatomy of a Struggle and is a PhD candidate in the Department of Cultural Studies at Queen’s University. He currently studies propaganda, disinformation and the production of Canadian irreality.

Organized by the NB Media Co-op and RAVEN Rural Action & Voices for the Environment. With support from the Wolastoq Grand Council and Council of Canadians – Fredericton Chapter.
