The #24hrSHTshow is a theatre competition that takes place over 24 hours!

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create, rehearse, and *perform* an original piece of theatre in just 24 hours.

** HOW IT WORKS **
– Grab some of your most dramatic friends
– Register your team (up to 8 people max.)
– Come to the kick-off information session on Nov.29th at Marshall D’Avray Hall
– Create some SHT!
– Perform your original SHT show on Nov. 30th in the École Sainte Anne Theatre!

How do I register?
When you register for the #24hrSHTshow, you will be given 2 different options: team and individual. If you are signing up to be a Team Leader, you will select the ‘team’ option, where you will then be asked to create a Team name and a password so you can invite your team members to join you! If you already have an awesome friend who created a Team for you to join, you would select the ‘team’ option and enter the pre-existing Team name and password before finalizing your purchase. If you don’t have a team to join, please select the ‘individual’ option.

Do I need to have a team to register?
No! We are more than happy to place you on a team if need be.

How much does this cost?
$15 per person before processing fees ($16.52 in total).

How do the teams work?
Each team will consist of 4-8 people and must have 1 director, 1 stage manager, and at least 2 actors. No matter what role you play (whether it’s on stage or off-stage), everyone will be involved in the writing and producing of the show.

How do you make sure people really only get 24 hours to create a show?
During the kick-off information session, each team will receive some randomly selected elements that must be included in their show (ie. setting, a prop, a character, etc.). This helps ensure that everyone’s SHT shows really were created during the competition.

Are there any prizes?
You mean, the adrenaline rush from creating original work in a tight timeframe isn’t enough?! Do you really need prizes to have a good — wait, yes. Yes, you do. Our panel of judges will hand out awards, certificates, and prizes at the end of the performances on Nov. 30th.

Can my friends and family come watch my performance?
They better! Tickets to watch the 24 Hour SHT Show will be available by donation at the door.
