Atlantic Salmon Research Joint Venture
343 Université Ave., Moncton, NB, Canada E1C 9B6

Fishermen/fisherwomen from Sipekne’katik near Digby NS are having their traps cut, being harassed, being chased and shot at by white fisherman mad because the indigenous fishers are able to fish out of season for a moderate lively hood as per their treaty agreement.

RCMP and DFO are not doing anything.

On Monday September 21st stand in solidarity with indigenous fisherman and put pressure on the DFO to do something.

We will gather outside of the DFO building at 12pm 343 Université Ave, Moncton, NB E1C 5K4 (big building across the street from the George Dumont Hospital)

If anyone knows of a gender inclusive alternative to the word fisherman that doesn’t sound like a reverse mermaid let me know and I’ll change it in the description.
