Community cleanup in Beausoleil
The Sustainable Development Group of the Pays de Cocagne (GDDPC) in collaboration with the Rural Community of Beausoleil invite you to a clean-up of your shoreline on Saturday, May 2, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. in Beausoleil.
We are organizing a community cleanup (clean your shoreline) to protect the environment on Earth Day, April 22. Since its inception, the GDDPC and residents of the Cocagne watershed have collected over 10,000 kg (22,700 pounds) of waste, preventing pollution of our waterways.
Join us to clean up our beaches, riverbanks, marshes, ditches, parks, and more to beautify the community, help wildlife, and protect our health! Please dress appropriately for the weather; rubber boots are recommended. Equipment (bags, gloves, grabbers), snacks, and pizza will be available at four locations (see below) between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Someone can direct you to the cleanup area, and volunteers with trucks can help transport the trash to the containers.
- Notre-Dame School, 3860 Route 115, Notre-Dame de Kent, NB E4V 2J2
- Grande-Digue Hunting and Fishing Club, 135 Albert Melanson in Shediac River
- Village Club, 102 Cocagne Cross Country at Cocagne
- Our Center, 468 Route 530, Grande-Digue, NB E4R 5K3
Containers will be installed from April 20th to May 4th in the rural community of Beausoleil for community clean-up waste: at the Notre-Dame Community Centre, the Notre Centre in Grande-Digue, and the GDDPC in Cocagne. However, all hazardous or bulky waste must be taken to the mobile recycling center.
Join us for the community cleanup and we’ll have lots of fun restoring the Cocagne River watershed! Gather your families, neighbors, and friends. Let’s all participate!
The mission of the Sustainable Development Group of the Pays de Cocagne (GDDPC) is to facilitate citizen engagement to ensure the viability of the communities of Beausoleil, Maple Hills and Champdoré located in the Cocagne watershed.
