This event takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Wəlastəkewiyik (Maliseet) whose ancestors along with the Mi’Kmaq / Mi’kmaw and Passamaquoddy / Peskotomuhkati People / Nations signed Peace and Friendship Treaties with the British Crown in the 1700s. These treaties did not deal with land ownership nor the surrender of resources.
Fierté Fredericton Pride are committed to creating and maintaining spaces where our community members can feel safe, confident and comfortable regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, race or ethnicity.
