Freestyle Social: talking energy, community and connection in Fredericton

The Conservation Council of New Brunswick is hosting a Freestyle Social: Talking Energy, Community & Connection in Fredericton on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Picaroons Roundhouse, 912 Union St. (doors open at 5:55 p.m.).

The event offers a mix of game night, community circle, and casual hangout with snacks. Participants will explore questions around energy affordability and renewable energy in New Brunswick through open and engaging dialogue. The evening will be guided by Conservation Council staff Faith Mambo (Energy and Climate Change Coordinator), Dr. Moe Qureshi (Director of Climate Research and Policy), and Erinn Sharpe (Engagement Coordinator).

The format is simple: a thought-provoking “for or against” question is posed, participants pick a side, and then dive into a respectful, lively conversation. There are no winners or losers, only shared ideas and new perspectives.

Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided, with free parking available. Attendees will also have the chance to win a $150 gift card to BackTrails by The Radical Edge.
