Safe renting and your rights as a tenant

First-time renters in Fredericton—or anyone seeking to stay informed and protected—are invited to an informative session on Wednesday, January 28, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The workshop will be hosted by Ellen Sterns of the Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick (PLEIS-NB).

Participants will learn about their rights and responsibilities as tenants in New Brunswick, including topics such as:

• Rent increases

• Evictions

• Repairs and maintenance

• Security deposits

• Roommates

• Accessing assistance from the Tenant and Landlord Relations Office

Pizza will be provided during the session.
