Seniors for Climate at Sackville Fall Fair

Seniors for Climate–Tantramar will welcome Seniors for Climate NB during the Sackville Fall Fair. Together with groups from across the province, they will host a Climate Corner on Dufferin Street with interactive climate action activities for all ages. Visitors can stop by to learn about climate change, take part in interactive activities, and send postcards to Prime Minister Mark Carney and Premier Susan Holt calling for stronger climate action. The event is part of the global Draw the Line for Climate Day of Action.

Check out the Draw the Line events in Saint John and Fredericton as well.

Seniors for Climate will also participate in the Fall Fair Parade on foot and by bicycle, promoting climate action. Community members are invited to join the parade by cycling alongside them. Parade cyclists are asked to gather at 12:00 noon at the Drew Nursing Home parking lot, with the parade beginning at 1:00 p.m. Environmental and climate signs will be available to display on bicycles.

For more information or to participate in the parade, contact Peter Higham at 506-540-1896 or by email at phigham@mta.ca by Wednesday, September 17.
