Our next tertulia features Katie Thorsteinson on Sara Ahmed on March 11 at 7:00pm at Milda’s.

Sara Ahmed is a scholar of feminist theory, lesbian feminism, queer theory, critical race theory and postcolonialism, and author of several books including Living a Feminist Life. Katie Thorsteinson is an Assistant Professor of English at St. Thomas University.

What is a tertulia? A tertulia can be described as a literary and artistic social gathering or philosophy cafe where participants talk about ideas. Tertulias combine words, music, poetry, art and whatever else speakers want to share.

Our tertulias this winter will take place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm at Milda’s Pizzas in the Charlotte Street Arts Centre, 732 Charlotte St.. Come early and order delicious pizza or treats made with seasonal local produce and beverages.
