The next speakers in the Environmental Praxis Lecture Series are Valerie Lannon and David Bush on the Green New Deal and the socialist case against the carbon tax on Friday, November 20 at 9:00am (Atlantic time). For the Zoom link, email tglynn@stu.ca.

Valerie Lannon is one of the co-founders of the Spring Socialist Network. She supports climate justice and indigenous rights and is the co-author of Indigenous Sovereignty & Socialism.

David Bush is a Ph.D. student at York University, a labour organizer active with the Fight for $15, contributor to the Spring Magazine, and editor at Rankandfile.ca.

This lecture is organized by St. Thomas University’s Environmental Praxis course and supported by the NB Media Co-op and RAVEN Rural Action & Voices for the Environment, a research project based at the University of New Brunswick.
