Valuing Care Work: Lessons from Scotland and New Brunswick

The New Brunswick Coalition for Pay Equity will hold a webinar to launch its joint research project with Mount Allison UniversityValuing Work in Community and Social Care in New Brunswick Through International Perspectives on Improving Working Conditions in Care Sectors.

The event will feature a keynote speech by Professor Patricia Findlay from the Scottish Fair Work Convention, and be moderated by Dr. Rachelle Pascoe-Deslauriers. The webinar will also include a panel discussion on various New Brunswick initiatives to value caregiving work:

  • Laurie Anderson, caregiver in a community residence and President of the New Brunswick Community Service Unions
  • Tina Learmonth, President of the New Brunswick Home Support Association
  • Johanne Perron, Executive Director of the New Brunswick Coalition for Pay Equity
