Lîla Ensemble: Dancing Music Playing Dance

Lîla Ensemble, a Toronto based contemporary dance and music improvisation group, presents an evening of adventurous play in movement and music at Fredericton’s Gallery Connexion (440 York St. on May 17th at 8:00pm. Admission: $10.

From Lîla Ensemble’s website:

Lîla Ensemble is a free-spirited group of contemporary dancers and musicians who create and defy meaning at the intersection of music and movement. Their name derives from a Hindu idea that all things, both beautiful and brutal, are the result of divine, creative play – the play of gods. Lîla Ensemble expresses this concept through performances that are rich with fantasy, whimsy and conviction. Since their inception, Lîla Ensemble has presented poignant and dynamic shows to audiences in Toronto and across Europe.
