Photos: Library restoration underway in Gaza following Israeli bombardments

Editor’s note: This is the latest photo essay by Rizek Abdel Jawad, a photojournalist from Gaza City whose work has previously been featured in these pages, documenting life in the shadow of Israel’s genocidal assault on the besieged territory. 

Photos show a Palestinian volunteer dusting books on March 2 inside the library of the Great Omari Mosque in Gaza City’s Old City, as part of initial rescue and restoration efforts following the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
