Online Panel: Is there an ongoing erosion of refugee rights in Canada?

No One Is Illegal-Fredericton invites you to join our panel discussion on 

Thursday, April 8th @7pm (AST) to commemorate Refugee Rights Day (falling on Easter Sunday that week) on the topic: “Is there an ongoing erosion of refugee rights in Canada?” It will be a lively discussion focused on Canada’s obligations to uphold refugee rights and to protect refugees in, and entering, Canada. 

Panelists:

Justin Mohammed (He/Him),  Human Rights Law and Policy Campaigner at Amnesty International Canada

Jeremías Tecú, a Fredericton resident and settlement worker whose life story is the subject of a new book titled In the Arms of Inup: The extraordinary story of a Guatemalan survivor and his quest for healing from trauma, by Moncton-based writer and therapist Eve Mills Allen. 

Moderator: Anna Sirois, St. Thomas University fourth-year human rights student and member of NOII
