Rockwood Park threatened again

by Phil Blaney
August 25, 2010
Reading Time: 1min read

Rockwood Park in Saint John is once again under assault and once again there is no real dialogue and no real consultation.

The city of Saint John earlier in the year held a public meeting on the future of the park. The answer from citizens was clear: Not one inch of the park should be sold.

ADI’s study suggests that parts of Rockwood park could be sold and transformed into what looks like a gated community.

Friends of Rockwood Park recently organized a public meeting on the threats facing Rockwood Park. We have been feverishly gathering signitures for a petition to save Rockwood Park. We have also been gathering responses to the ADI report that is due on August 31.
