Creating a chain of solidarity together: fundraiser for the Common Front for Social Justice

Creating a chain of solidarity together!
Goal – $50,000
$40,000 already raised
Contribute before Christmas

The NB Common Front for Social Justice (CFSJ) works wholeheartedly in favour of destitute people. The goal of our projects is to improve living conditions for low-wage earners and socially assisted individuals, who live in poverty and are subject to prejudice, and to promote the implementation of social policies that address the needs of this group of people.

In pursuit of these goals, the CFSJ is launching a fundraising campaign under the theme, “Creating a chain of solidarity together”. Our objective is to collect $50,000, by contacting people like you who wish to see poverty decrease or disappear altogether. We hope you will be able to join us in forming a chain that will express our solidarity.

A chain is something solid, durable and a symbol of resistance. The strength of the entire chain is in direct relation to that of its links, so it’s important that each link be strong.

This chain will signify our collective social solidarity, while for the CFSJ, it represents the following values:

Ø our solid conviction in fighting for the common good;

Ø our enduring commitment to this work for over twelve years, and

Ø our solidarity with vulnerable people in our society when they are under attack.

Our chain of solidarity offers individuals and organizations an opportunity to demonstrate tangibly, through financial or in-kind contributions, their support for CFSJ projects and their solidarity with its members.

The chain of solidarity will consist of 100 links, each hooked up to its neighbour to form a chain of social solidarity. Your donation will of course depend on your means, but whether you give $10, $20, $50 or $100, your gift is the basic unit that will enable the creation of this unique chain, link by link. When a series of gifts amounts to $500, we will consider that we have built one link of the chain. The campaign will continue until we have built the 100 links that will complete our chain, and fulfill the $50,000 objective for our campaign.

You will be able to follow our chain-building effort by visiting our website at www.frontnb.ca, which also features a recognition page for donors to the chain of solidarity.

Let’s get to work together and build as many links as we can!

Ø la fermeté de ses convictions dans sa lutte pour le bien commun;

Ø la durabilité de son travail qui se poursuit depuis plus de douze années;
