4-year-old Daksh is coming home to Canada

Daksh to Canada
4-year-old Daksh Sood will be reunited with his parents in Canada.

Dec 24, 2015 — After a meeting with Santa Claus and Immigration Minister John McCallum, Ottawa parents Bhavna Bajaj and Aman Sood received the good news they have been dreaming of for 3 years: their baby boy Daksh Sood has been granted a temporary resident permit and is coming to Canada to finally live with his Ottawa parents.

With this wonderful gift, we remember that thousands of families are still waiting far too long to be reunited. And so we will continue to work to ensure that the new government’s commitment to family reunification is fulfilled. We look forward to working with all of you who helped on this case to assist in others as we seek a world in which immigrants and refugees are treated with dignity, equality, and full legal and human rights.
