What does it sound like to be questioned before you’ve even spoken?

This episode features eleven original soundscapes created by youth from across New Brunswick, students, immigrants, children of immigrants, some who have lived here their whole lives, others who arrived more recently.

Each soundscape begins with an everyday moment at places such as a border crossing, a grocery store, a classroom or an airport and explores what those moments reveal about identity and how people are perceived

Produced between January and March 2026, Soundscapes of Resistance was created in partnership with the NB Media Co-op, with funding from the Canadian Race Relations Foundation.
