About 150 people attended a rally against the sale of NB Power in Rexton, the heart of Premier Shawn Graham’s riding, on Monday, February 22.

“We had a terrific rally on the doorstep of the Premier in his home riding of Rexton on Monday. Thank you to everyone who participated. Together we really made a statement and we had terrific local support shown by the numerous honking horns,” said rally organizer Bethany Thorne-Dykstra.

On Tuesday, March 9, Thorne-Dykstra’s organization, “Put N.B. People First” will present the petition to the government at a press conference in front of the Legislature in Fredericton at 1:30 p.m. The petition requests a referendum on the proposed NB Power sale.
