Fredericton Candidates Forum on the Housing Crisis with Rachel Cave [video]

With housing costs skyrocketing and tenants facing evictions and no vacancies during a pandemic, housing has become one of the top 2021 federal election issues.

On September 16, the New Brunswick Coalition for Tenants Rights, the Common Front for Social Justice and ACORN NB hosted an online forum on the housing crisis with the candidates seeking election in Fredericton. The forum is now available for viewing here:

Six of the seven candidates seeking election attended the forum: Jenica Atwin (Liberal), Brandon Kirby (Libertarian), Nicole O’Byrne (Green), Shawn Oldenburg (NDP), June Patterson (Communist Party of Canada) and Jennifer Smith (Independent). Conservative candidate Andrea Johnson declined the invitation to participate. The forum was moderated by CBC’s Rachel Cave.
