Survey shows candidates’ position on abortion access in NB

by Tracy Glynn (French translation by Janelle LeBlanc)
September 5, 2014
Reading Time: 1min read

Reproductive Justice NB has posted a map of responses to a survey sent on August 22 to all parties in the upcoming NB provincial elections. The survey asked the candidates whether they supported (1) a repeal of regulations that have been identified as barriers to abortion access and (2) the extension of reproductive healthcare in the Province. The Green Party responded collectively “yes” to the two questions. The NDP responded “yes” to the questions as a party but their Saint John-Lancaster candidate responded “no” to the questions. The other parties, Progressive Conservatives, NB Liberals and the Peoples Alliance of NB, chose not to respond to the questions.
